Bang/Snap-like feature for sorting and filtering

Using bangs (!) and snaps (@) are incredible for my workflow. Like using r@ for reddit alone accounts for at least 50% of my searches.

I think finding a way to use characters to indicate sorting and filtering would be huge.
Including

Category (All (default), Images, Videos, News, Maps)
Scopes (like Forums)
Regions
Sort by Recency, Website, Trackers
Time (last day, week, year)

For me personally, I use the forums snap and the sort by recency sort very often. Maybe doing something like
"&images"
"&newest"
"&oldest"
"&%forums" (% to indicate sub-filter snaps)
"&usa"
"&year"

Would be very helpful as well as reduce amount of unnecessary searches. Like right now I have to search my query, and then immediately change the sort option which results in an unnecessary first search.

These either are or could be added as bangs, like !i for images, !year for past year. Some of these may not work on non-web pages though.

I like the idea, and it could have some improvements over just bangs (stacking, not requiring redirect). We'll need to consider this carefully
