With the rise of independant media, the newsletter model is being used a lot. Email is a suboptimal experience for reading periodical information. With Kagi working on an email product, it has an opportunity to provide a unique integration of its news product with news letters that their users subscribe to.
In a future state where there are Kagi news features behind the subscription tiers, it would be really nice if you provided a user specific Kagi address for a user of Kagi News to use when subscribing to a news letter. Kagi could then receive these, run them through their summarization process, and link out to the articles, providing the Kagi News users with the same great experience for their news letter subscriptions as they are getting from the traditional news media in Kagi News.
When a user signs into Kagi News, a "News Letters" tab is presented to them where they can easily access the email address provided by Kagi. The user can then use this address to subscribe to the news letters they want to be included in this special feed.
Since some news letters require a confirmation click, this feed should support the delivery of that verification email. Perhaps by simply forwarding the verification email to the user's primary email that they have provided Kagi, or by Kagi presenting a line item in the feed that prompts the user to click to verify which opens a website with the verification email that the user can interact with.
Once verification (if any) has occurred and news letters start coming in, Kagi could apply some summarization processes them. Potentially these summarizations would not be able to be as robust as the rest of Kagi News because of the user specific nature of the news letter space, but some basic summaries as well as a visual rearrangement of the content in the news letter email into a news feed style look would be possible with the goal of giving the user the information the need to decide if they want to click through to read the whole article.
