Date on billing page ambigious

I happen to be able to decipher this date, because the day is past the 12th. In different regions, different date formats are used.

For most of the planet it's: dd/mm/yyyy
For the us it's: mm/dd/yyyy
Kagi appears to use: yyyy/mm/dd

Might I suggest using a setting for this, or using a long date to make this clear

Pardon my software engineering brain, but I honestly don't understand what's supposed to be confusing or ambiguous here. That's the international ISO 8601 date format YYYY-MM-DD. Notice the use of dashes (-) rather than forward slashes (/).

magiruuvelvet I get it. I'm used to having to translate to non-tech speak a lot. I didn't even consider looking at the front end as an undocumented set of structured data.

I usually omit the dashes or sometimes just use a 64 bit integer for my apps. Whatever method you prefer, it's not suitable for a front end aimed at end users who aren't neccesarily techy

This is just the date format to use when you don’t want to be ambiguous. Not only it’s the ISO standard, but when you start with the year there is no country that puts the day afterwards, it can only be yyyy-mm-dd.

I never considered this format to be particularly technical, it’s just a normal date format that is unambiguous. I actually use it in documents at work when working with various countries.

Maybe Kagi could write the month in letters then.

In CJK languages, dates are commonly written in year-month-day order.

For Chinese and Japanese, months are written as Arabic numerals followed by the character 月 (meaning "month"), unless you are writing something with a classic or traditional feel.
e.g., October 31, 2025 is 2025年 10月 31日 in Chinese and Japanese; similarly in Korean: 2025년 10월 31일.

So in short, there isn’t much difference from the ISO format. I highly suggest keeping the current form in at least CJK languages.
