Allow users to learn from their queries by providing detail of the billing charges
It would be useful if Kagi would alert the user when there is a sudden huge increase cost wise being generated by Kagi Assistant. It is very easy to select a very expensive model to submit a query to and have that model also be used for subsequent queries. You may not be aware that you are close to use a large portion of your plan's monthly allotment. End user should be alerted via email when the system sees a spike in $ charges on the AI side. This will allow the user to be alerted and possibly allow them to switch the model being used back down to a less costly one without having to consume all of their plan's AI tokens.
When one uses up 66% of their monthly $ allotment in one day in AI usage it would be nice to be able to drill down in the billing detail to determine what Query/Model caused the huge usage spike. Even if you look through the save queries they are not dated at all. You have no idea when the query was submitted. I had two separate AI charges for 66% of my $10 a month plan used on one day and I have no idea what query caused it. It will make me switch to other AI to do the majority of my queries
I was using the usage stats and had checked them a week ago and the usage for the entire period was under $2.
The inability to see the finer detail with respect to charges in billing still stands. If one uses the default setting in Kagi assistant which is that your queries to Kagin Assistant are removed from your account you can not even do what I did. That is to try to figure out what caused all the consumption in $ by adding up the cost for each and every query. I was only able to do so because I have configured Kagi Assistant to keep all queries in my account AND I was aware of what I was doing on the two days in particular where the consumption occurred.
The usage stats page is lacking. There is no way to associate the two days of high usage shown in the usage stats to save queries in my account. This is because even if you disable the removing of the queries from your account none of the queries in one's account are date stamped. You have no way of determing when each of query was performed and in turn narrow down what cause the excessive billing.
In order to make it easier for the account holder to determine where the consumption occurs Kagi needs to
1) Either allow more finer detail in the billing / usage stats to show what each query cost or
2) At least date stamp the queries in one's account
If an account holder keeps the default setting in Kagi Assistant and has none of the queries saved then 1) is the only means they will have to determine what caused the high usage.
