Kagi News on iOS does not support widgets, unlike the built-in News app and various other newsreaders and RSS apps like NetNewsWire.

Ideally, a widget would be available for iOS and iPadOS, allowing me to surface at various sizes:

Top news
Top news in a specific category

Clicking on the news item should bring you into Kagi News, or if you are clicking from a Mac with the iOS widget on the desktop, to the web version of it.

Here is a screenshot of the iOS News app widget for a specific category. Multiple sizes are available etc.

How I would personally use it is two-fold

1 - on iOS devices - I keep this type of news Widget on my Home Screen and frequently open news items from it
2 - on my Mac, I do the same, using the iOS integration that allows showing widgets from my phone on my Mac.

I think this would actually help bridge the gap between macOS integration and a non existant native app!
