Search box does not follow text cursor Android

I use chrome and google keyboard. When I hold space and move finger left and right it moves text cursor.

Steps to reproduce:

Open mobile version of kagi
Search some long text such that search bar only shows part of the query.
Click on the search bar with text.
Text cursor appears in the end of the query.
Hold space and move finger to the left.
Cursor moves to the left beyond search box and the box doesn't follow it.

Search box should follow text cursor when it moves.

To clarify, you're saying that the text doesn't "scroll" within the box to follow the cursor? Additionally, you're only seeing this on Kagi right?

What keyboard are you using, maybe that's the issue? I can't replicate on my device (FlorisBoard). Also could you send a video of it?

Update: the issue is visible in pretty much any text input in android chrome (version 140.0.7339.155). I tried typing text in news.ycombinator.com comments, yandex.com and youtube.com. All demonstrate the same issue. I also tried firefox. In that browser the search in youtube web mobile behaves correctly. Which makes me to believe it's android chrome issue.

Alright, I'm going to mark this as nofix then as it doesn't seem to be a Kagi issue. Lemme know if you start to run across issues in Firefox with this as well, we can take another look 🙂
