Kagi Assistant with Claude’s Sonnet appears to not be utilizing Kagi’s search filters. After selected the "Academic" filter, Kagi continues to use sources from forums such as Reddit. I suspect the problem is that the chat uses the search filter the chat started with.
To replicate, start a conversation, then change the filter after one response.
I've attached a link to the chat in an email to Kagi Support.
If this is a feature, it would be more clear to lock the filter option after the chat starts. I believe it would be more beneficial to the user if they could change filters mid-search.
