Kagi not finding public GitHub project

I'm searching for "anchore grype" (without the quotes):

Kagi says "We haven't found anything" but this is a popular GitHub project (_11k stars and releases going back to 2020).

If I search for just "grype" I get results, and if I search for the terms in the opposite order (grype anchore) I get results, but for some reason "anchore grype" (without quotes) fails to return anything.

It should have at least found the GitHub project, but also the zillions of blogs, forum posts, reddit comments, and anything else discussing this project.

Can’t confirm. Have you enabled verbatim search? Because I haven’t.

Verbatim search isn't enabled for me, no, and searching for "grype anchore" (sans quotes) works as expected.
But interestingly, I tried the search again and now it's returning results. When I was writing the OP I tried the search about a dozen times and got "We haven't found anything" each time. But as I try it now, it's working.

Some transient issue with Kagi, then.

I can confirm that Kagi seems to have hiccups sometimes, with the results being better on the second try. I haven’t really found a pattern to report yet.

@tux0r is right here, there's many factors that influence final results, and just a few seconds difference between queries can impact it. This is unfortunately just how our upstreams work, there's not a whole lot we can do in this case 🙂
