mrmanafon Because 25 years have passed and so many people have been burned by the surveilance capitalism omnipresent in the search space, that there is finally an actual normalization of paying for services happening.
tux0r 25 years ago, Google was good enough. I actually used Fireball (or was it Lycos HotBot?) back then, but I remember Google as being “not quite bad”. That’s the difference.
