Widget view for discussions, threads, articles and more

Currently, reddit threads and other discussions are grouped together as “subresults”.

I think it would look nicer if Kagi took a you.com approach and made them horizontally scrolling widgets and organized them into their own section within the results page.

This way, it would be easier to identify and find reddit results and they would be more clearly defined than how it is currently setup.

As I wrote on https://kagifeedback.org/d/247-ungroup-sites-subresult , I don't think that a post-processing of the result order could give any utility to the user.
Perhaps I'll grasp more easily that all these links will be from Reddit, but: is this an information I need?
Does it help me to find the appropriated answers?
Are all of the Reddit link in the above screenshot more relevant than the "Miami - Wikipedia" below?

If only one of that sentences is false, I think that grouping (horizontally or vertically) shouldn't be the default (or the only) option for the users.
(and yes, could be added later for sure...but with an opt-in mechanism)

seventhwave Personally, I benefit a lot from Reddit discussions. Whether it’s for programming, product reviews or crowd sourced projects, Reddit threads can contain good material.

I do agree with this being optional. A lot of what the reference screenshot includes is highly subjective and not everyone will appreciate the design language of the results.

httpjames Thinking about this, perhaps the outcome you really seek is achieved by pinning or prefering Reddit in your results, to make sure they appear on top, vs visual distinction in the results?

Vlad Not really. For that, I can just go into the Discussions lens. This suggestion is more focused on appearance and visual distinction than anything else. You groups results in a much more visually appealing way in my eyes.
