Following up on my other suggestion that requests the documentation of all search providers Kagi relies on, I think it would also make sense to get some stats regarding the sources for your search results. I assume that would be hard with anonymous sessions, but if the user isn't using Privacy Pass, a list could display where did the search results came from.
This would help users understand which original backend source serves their needs the best.
User searches, Kagi potentially displays with each result where the search result originates from (eg. Bing) and backend increases a counter that user had a search result from Bing. Then in statistics view the user could see the ranked list of search backends he got the most results from. They could also rank search backends that way.
