Sources hidden by assistant

I've been using the assistant for several months, and only just learned on the Discord that the sources used to respond to queries are hidden behind the Searching with Kagi link before the results. In the example where I found this, there were four "References" after the results, but 10 sources hidden behind that link.

Sources should be more obvious, especially since any serious use of the Assistant involves checking sources to see if they are legitimate. So either all sources used should be shown at the bottom of the results, or the link at the top should be more obvious. Seeing just a few "references" makes it look like Kagi hasn't found many sources.

Perplexity does this well, with a Sources tab at the top:

The References section are the only sources it chose to use to formulate the response. All others were discarded.

We could still include them more obviously, in a delineated section in "References", if that would be helpful? Will just need to be clearly labeled somehow.

I think having more sources is always good. But why did it only choose four sources? Because the others were redundant? The four it chose may not be the most authoritative sources.

Unfortunately at my depth of knowing the details of how this works to give a good answer, asked someone from our AI team to review 🙂

In the meantime, one thing I can add is that if you find Assistant citing sources you don't prefer, you can downrank or block those domains - it will make Assistant prefer those sources less, or completely remove results from those domains before they are even passed to the model to review, respectively.
