If I do a search for e.g. 「痛み !jpd」(i.e. without quotes「」) instead of「痛み !jpd」it does a search instead of redirecting to e.g. a search of https://japandict.com/, which is a little frustrating if I hit super + space at the wrong moment.
To be specific, the difference here is U+3000 ideagraphic space instead of U+20 space.
Come to think of it, if I use 「！」 U+FF01 full width exclamation mark instead of "!" U+21 exclamation mark it doesn't work either, as in「痛み ！jpd」。
Finally, if I type the entire thing with my japanese IME like 「痛み ！ｊｐｄ」, it also doesn't transliterate the full-width latin letters to normal latin letters either, so bangs don't work.

I expect !bang searches using Japanese punctuation to result in a !bang search instead of a normal search, transliterating the characters in my query correctly - see above
