Kagi assembles results by simultaneously querying multiple sources for every search. I'd like to see staan.ai added to that pool as a European index.
staan.ai (Search Trusted API Access Network) is the European search index built by European Search Perspective (EUSP), the 50/50 joint venture of Germany's Ecosia and France's Qwant.
Its appeal for Kagi's European users: web, news, and image results crawled, indexed, and served from EU-based systems, with language/region-aware market selection that should give strong coverage of European, especially German and French, content (expanding to other languages in tge future). It's offered as a straightforward JSON API.
Since Kagi already queries multiple sources per search and weights their results into its own ranking, adding staan.ai as one more source would enrich European coverage for Germany and France, without requiring any architectural change.
