Search for "wayback machine" (without quotes).

The search results for "wayback machine" show the actual website (https://web.archive.org/) much lower in the list. I would expect it to be at the top of the search results.

Nevertheless, I still agree that https://web.archive.org should be higher up in the search results.

laiz I should have made a screenshot of the results at the time of submitting the ticket, but if I remember correctly, archive.org wasn't the top result either (or near the top for that matter), I think the top one was an app from the Google App Store and some other less relevant results. But again, I'm recalling this from memory only.

I think returning archive.org is a sufficient solution, optimally it'd be web.archive.org.

arcanelab I'm (mostly) unable to replicate this. Archive.org is the top result for me, though there is indeed no web.archive.org present. Can you confirm the same still?

Yes, now archive.org is the first result for me as well for "wayback machine" (without quotes).
