It's awesome that this suggestion was implemented, however, in the interest of transparency, I strongly suggest including information on:
- open- or closed-source
- company or organization behind the model, e.g. Meta, Google, X etc.
The original suggestion included this, as do the info cards by DuckDuckGo.
This helps users make more informed decisions on which model to use. For some (like myself), price or quality of the models are less important than what company they are made by and whether or not they are open-source.
As far as I know, only DuckDuckGo offers this information freely. But Kagi as a company should support open-source software by at least mentioning this in the models offered in Kagi Assistant.
