I was just searching for some information about an old movie, and I was surprised when I tapped on one of the results on my iPad to get a Safari warning that it was an insecure connection. In the attached screenshot, you can see that if I tap the shield, I can see that it is insecure, but in the list of results, there’s nothing indicating that a website is not HTTPS. I tend to assume these days that any websites that are not secure, have been hacked, and I avoid them. It might be better to have some sort of a visual notification of this in the search results, such as a red shield icon next to the result.
