"World" news is only showing USA news

Here is my screen when going to Kagi's news page, which defaults to "World", and New Zealand search region:

6 headlines are visible, each of which mentions Trump, the leader of the United States of America. This is what I would have expected to see in the USA category. (Clicking to the USA category, the top 6 headlines also mention Trump.)

What's the point of World if it's just USA? I would have expected World to lead with a more diverse set of countries - maximum one result from the United States. As I'm in New Zealand, I would have expected it to be weighted more towards news involving us and Australia, possibly also China.

Heya - sorry for the confusion, the filter bar does not apply to this view, nor any of your personal settings - at the moment. It's efffectively just a static page that we regenerate once a day, everyone gets the same thing. More like a "newsletter".

We have upcoming edits to this view to clarify the mechanics of this page, and we're looking closely at what we can do to improve the quality overall WRT things like World often being very US-heavy. We use a list of sources that we built along with the community, and it tends to happen that most of the news publications are talking about the US in some way or another for their major headlines respectively.

We've received a lot of feedback about this data over the past few days, bear with us as it matures some more 🙂
