Elixir documentation results typically out-of-date pages

The second link is to the System Elixir module—this is good and correct. However, it links to version 1.12.3; this is years out-of-date.

Results from the domain https://hexdocs.pm/elixir/* should prefer the most current version if possible. E.g. instead of https://hexdocs.pm/elixir/1.12/System.html, the top hit should be https://hexdocs.pm/elixir/System.html without the version number.

Elixir makes all documentation for all prior versions of Elixir available. This is a really good thing—but most of the time I want to see the most current documentation surfaced first.

This is a great point, and why we built this feature: https://help.kagi.com/kagi/features/redirects.html

While we would love to eventually build some domain-specific indexing around programming docs, for now we need to rely on upstream indexes, and often they give pages that lag behind like this.

For now, we can't become domain experts on every language and keep them all up to date (assuming they even serve docs pages that let you do a "latest" type thing), so we give that power to users to touch things up.

As we ramp up our in-house indexing operations, this is top of mind. For now, if you need any help setting up the URL rewrite, let us know!
