Improve communication around bangs / the assistant

I've seen various users feel like they had to create a custom assistant just to assign it a bang because they hadn't found https://help.kagi.com/kagi/ai/assistant.html#url-parameters in the docs yet.

I think something could be done around communication somewhere so that users know they can just make normal bangs using the URL parameter schema , without making custom assistants.

Is this just related to bangs to invoke specific models? We already have bangs that do that (e.g. !sonnet for Claude 4 Sonnet). Those bangs also aren't super documented, they should be worked on. I'll check on the progress of that. Lmk if this is about a different use case that I've misunderstood 🙂

It's indeed about making it more clear to users (not just in docs, but also the actual Assistant UI I think) that these model specific bangs exist

Hadn't considered adding them to the Assistant, how would you envision that being exposed effectively? I guess my thinking is that Bangs and the Assistant are sort of separate, so a user might not be expecting to have Bang-related topics there.

well the users seem to be going to the custom assistant screen which a bang field, so i guess some text there that tells people that model specific bangs already exist
