Google search fails when Kagi has no results

If I perform a search in Kagi that doesn't show any results, upon adding "g" to the search, Kagi does not redirect to Google Search like it normally does. If you search directly with "g", it does work though.

Open Kagi
Search for: "ghe-cluster-host-check" (no results found)
Search for: g "ghe-cluster-host-check" (notice the g)
Kagi reloads and shows the same no results found page

Issue can be reproduced on Safari 18.6 (20621.3.7) but not on Firefox 140.0.2

Kagi would redirect to Google Search

Thanks for the report. FWIW the "no results" is just an instance of #3387. I'll check with the team and see why your bang might be failing on this, it shouldn't be.

Question: Do you have the Kagi Search extension installed? Did you set it to all search engines or Google? Is your default search engine Google? This is reproducible for me, if I use the ddg bang in Safari 26 (iOS 26 beta 3).
