As far as I can tell all that it does it show or hide the # of relevant search results and # of blocked results. But this only affects the regular search page. When you are searching for specific content like podcasts, images, news, etc, then no stats show up so the button doesn't do anything.
Expected behavior would be that the option is only available on the main search page, or that stats are added to the other search types.
