Installed Helvetica font, and this happened to Kagi (and only Kagi)

Thibaultmol Oh, forgot that. Firefox and Windows 11. All updated to newest version.

It's probably on my side, and not Kagi. I'm guessing Firefox is defaulting to Helvetica instead of Arial.

Kagi's CSS dictates that it should try Helvetica first

Where did you download the font from? maybe it's not the original Helvetica (/the one that kagi is expecting) or maybe it only contains certain version of helvetica and not the one kagi needs or something. I'm not too familiar with font usage on web and such

Thibaultmol Found out that myself too. They font is correct in private window mode. I probably have the wrong Helvetica font, I've deleted all of them. 😛

I'm guessing they default the font on Kagi to Helvetica first because Apples OS' come with the actual Helvetica font, and Windows doesn't.

Activated custom CSS and added

body { font-family: Arial, sans-serif !important; }

Problem fixed (lol)

Update: Yeah, it was the fonts. Deleted all of them and now everything is normal again. 🙂 Please close this.

Hello, I just had this appear for me in Firefox only. And I can confirm that it appears correctly in private windows too but all versions of firefox without extensions and clean profiles it appears small and scrunched?

Various internet sources suggest this is a firefox issue trying to use the Windows installed Helvetica font, but why did it appear today when I haven't installed any fonts recently nor has firefox updated recently?
