Small wikipedia widget for small screens

When searching for common things, I'm intending to click the first or second result. And on a desktop with a big screen, this works great. But with a smaller screen, the wikipedia widget sometimes takes up a sizable chunk of the screen without adding much value most of the time.

Something more compact, with a button to expand would be a lot nicer for this use case

optionally with some sort of big expand button for mobile users?

Hmmm, I think you're in some in-between-device size size.

The normal smartphone layout already has a mini widget for wikipedia:

But what you're showing is more tablet size I think.

The only way I can reproduce your screenshot is by switching to ipad in my browser emulator.
But even then, it's only in portrait mode that this happens, in landscape mode it has enough space to become a sidebar again

I guess for ipad/tablet sized screens it might be worth considering showing a smaller wikipedia widget yeah. Although it'd have to be something in between mobile 'mini' mode and desktop mode.

Thibaultmol this is on my work pc. I have kagi on the side monitor. But really do not like wasting screen space, I need a lot of ti.

RoxyRoxyRoxy I think it's better to trigger the 'small' widget based on screen size, rather than on the user agent. My phone may not be the average phone, but there are a lot of devices out there with varying screens. For both desktop and mobile devices. And they do not all have the same screen. All small screens have in common that they are small screens though

The widget appears to have gone. It looks like desktop mode is off. Although given the dpi setting, perhaps my phone thinks it's a desktop? Some apps refer to it as a tablet too
