The "Remove results from this site" feature isn't working for me

The "Remove results from this site" feature not just isn't working, but is actually highlighting the result as the top result - when it wasn't before asking to exclude it.

I did a search "mri gallstones" and then selected the ellipsis menu (three vertical dots) on the unwanted result, then clicked "Remove results from this site"

This is on desktop Firefox 140.0.2 under Linux (Ubuntu 24.04.2), with the uBlock Origin plugin active.

I expected the unwanted website (healthline) to be excluded from the results.

Hi @dcminter , this appears to be an issue when using -site: with Verbatim enabled - I can reproduce it under this configuration. Could you confirm that disabling Verbatim behaves as expected for you?

Yep, that's it - interesting, that wouldn't be the behaviour I'd expect. Do you consider this to be a bug?

On the one hand ... yeah, that ends up being part of the search term; it would seem a reasonable PEBKAC if I'd typed that text into the search box (e.g. I might be searching for information on how to use the 'site:' operator or something).

But on the other hand ... I didn't enter that as part of the search term as such. I just clicked an option in a drop down menu 😃
