Regional results are incorrect

Searching for things like "car leasing" or home loans, local facilities, I'm often shown Singaporean and American results instead of local (Melbourne, Australia) results.

Ideally, shops and services being searched when a country/region is selected should be limited or at least prioritised by that region.

Despite being on different devices and different browsers, I am consistently seeing Singaporean results despite being in Australia, and having my country set to Australia

I expected to see Australian results.

Getting this too. If I search for camelbak the top 3 results are:

camelbak.sg
camelbak.com
camelbak.com.au

Expected:

camelbak.com.au
maybe camelbak.com?
anything but Singapore sites hehe

Workaround for now is just appending "Australia" to my searches. Hope this can be fixed quickly!!

EDIT: not sure when this started, but I'd guess in the past 2 weeks

So far, it seems that all reports have the region set to Australia (AU).

I'm a user in Australia also experiencing this issue. It's having a profound effect on my productivity and for the first time in two years I've had to perform some queries in a different search engine to get relevant results efficiently.

For the last couple of weeks, all of my searches have prioritised results from Singapore, Hong Kong and China even though my search region is set to Australia.

Search results should respect the chosen search region.

Equivalent Google search included for reference.

Just adding that I've been seeing this same issue in recent days, as an Australian getting results from Singapore.

i am also having the same issue. And even specifically omitting search results using -site still shows the site

Thank you. This has been happening only for a few weeks. I've been very happy with the results for the past couple of years but this has been a noticeable regression.

I live in Australia and I recently went to Thailand for 3 weeks and was flying through Singapore.
Now I'm back in Australia and I still get .sg sites as the top results even though they are completely irrelevant:

I don't remember exactly, but it could be that I logged into kagi on one of my devices in the Singapore airport.

I expected to have the same search results as I had before the trip, namely mostly Australian and international websites, not a mix of Singapore and Australian ones.
