I'm not sure if there's list of supported file types for reverse image search — if so, I haven't been able to find it — but I would like it if it were expanded. For example, if you upload a TIFF or HEIF/HEIC image, it will display the "broken image" icon, and pressing "search" will simply load a blank image results page. 
I would suggest that (at least for usage in 2025), RIS should accept the following image formats:
- JPEG
- PNG
- GIF
- TIFF
- HEIF/HEIC
- WebP
- BMP
and ideally also some common vector formats, but perhaps that's less feasible?
