Android app shows search suggestions despite search suggestions being disabled in settings

I suppose the title is sufficient but here are the details:
I have "Search Suggestions" disabled. On desktop (in Firefox) it works as expected. On the Android App, however, I see suggestions as I type my query. I wondered if there is a separate setting for the Android app but it appears to be the same (and it does show that it is disabled). So, the Android app appears to ignore this setting.

What did you expect to happen?
Describe the desired functionality.

The app should respect the "Search Suggestions" setting and not show search suggestions when it is set to "Disabled".

I found this exact bug today also on my Android device. Kagi seems to respect the search suggestions setting in my Windows desktop at home (Firefox), Windows desktop at work (Edge), and even when running Kagi inside the Firefox browser on the very same Android smartphone where I also have the Kagi app installed.

On the Kagi app, however, search suggestions show up still. I have confirmed that I am correctly logged in there and that when visiting the settings page through the app, it correctly reports search suggestions as disabled.

As of now I am not using the Kagi dedicated app except for Assistant due to this very bug, I find search suggestions too distracting. As a workaround I have been using Kagi inside the Firefox mobile browser.

I find that this still occurs. Does no one else except pooispoois (who posted above) face it?
For me, it would help the Android app experience significantly if this were fixed.

Might I ask if there is a chance this will be fixed? If I at least receive a "Won't Fix" response, I can adjust my expectations and drop this matter.

The reason I return to this thread repeatedly is that this bug is a constant annoyance when using the search on my phone.

No, this is something that should be fixed.
I just checked in the upcoming new version of the app (almost full rewrite) but this hasn't been added yet it seems. I've forwarded it to the team again
