Weather Query using Inaccurate Location

For some reason when i search "weather corvallis" or "weather in corvallis" (corvallis oregon) I get weather results for Norwalk, California.

Ideally i'd get the weather for Corvallis.

Interestingly enough when i just search "weather" it does get corvallis' weather.

Experiencing the same thing primarily with weather. I'm currently visiting Oakland, CA. If I type weather oakland I get Oakland in Michigan. If I search 'weather' I get Oakland, CA.

Using dns/ip only location also shows Oakland via sites like 'https://whereami.com/'.

If I search 'richmond weather', a nearby city, I get Richmond County, New York.

I feel like local estimated location should play a larger role. Maybe even just at the state level.
