Assistant placeholder prompt not disappearing when user types

I just opened an assistant and tried to type my prompt. But it was unreadable because place holder didn't disappear

Can confirm that I see the same (Safari, latest OS updates)

I have tested in Firefox and the placeholder text acts as expected.

Turned out (for me) that the issue was related to the Grazie add on from Jetbrains. Disabling it for kagi.com solved it for me.
