IOS “engine to redirect” greyed out

All options under “engine to redirect” in the iOS Safari extension are showing greyed out. I have disabled/reenabled, un/reinstalled, toggled all settings, all to no avail. Is this just me?

I expected to be able to choose a single search engine to redirect per the setup instructions on Kagi’s website.

I'm not on IOS and I'm not really that familiar with safari.
But someone on the discord was having a similar problem recently and I think their solution was to go into the settings of the extension and set both options at the bottom of this screenshot to allow

Thibaultmol Thanks for sharing, but I do already have both set to Allow (and have toggled them a few times with no change).

I was the one having the issue on the forum. You have to go to Settings > Apps > Safari > Extensions, then Kagi Extension to access the settings in the screenshot above. If it's still not working, I'd delete the Kagi extension app, restart your device, then reinstall it and go to those settings after setting the extension up in Safari. I don't recall the onboarding, but I think you get sent to those settings once, but you can't access them directly via the Extensions icon in Safari later.

kirkmc Just tried deleting, power cycling, and reinstalling as suggested and it still won’t allow me to choose a single search engine to use Kagi with.

Can confirm this issue was resolved by installing Kagi for Safari version 2.2.8 that was just released yesterday. Thanks to the team for implementing this fix!
