As a user, I would like to have a way to securely store documents or connect an existing external cloud storage platform that I would like both search results and AI to be able to reference when I query or make a request.
Search:
when a document I upload is relevant to a search I make, return the document including the text surrounding the section that search picked up on.
AI:
when I make a request, the AI could see these search results or I could include a specific file/folder manually as a resource and the LLM could use the selected files to help generate a response.
Lenses:
Whether to include documents or not by default could be a toggle, and if turned off, a Lens could be available to search documents
Kagi Teams:
businesses could upload shared files such as best practices documents, employee handbooks, etc.
This could make results much more personal to the user and their particular usecase.
A couple of examples:
Students:
could upload notes, study guides, pdfs of sources, etc.
when they then search for something related to a class they are in, Kagi could point them to where in their notes or study guides relevant information could be found alongside results on the web
Professionals:
could upload documentation, research papers, manuals, reports
An investment professional could search for information on a stock they are looking to add to their porfolio. Kagi could return internal research reports relevant to the company alongside search results related to public reports and announcements from the company.
