Claude 4 Sonnet / Opus Cannot Intake Files

Just a note that the latest Anthropic releases are struggling with file uploads. The AI can tell the files are there, but can't access the content. DOCX and PDF files in standard form. This isn't consistent, so it might be due to server load?

Expected file to be read.

I am also having issues with Claude not reading PDF's, they show up blank. I have to revert to Sonnet 3.7 and the same documents work fine. SO its definitely something with the new Claude that they are going to have to work the kinks out. Also service has been terrible the last few days, I have a workload I need to get done and I'm struggling.

I have not had this issue reoccur for 24 hours. Not sure what's up, but it seems to have resolved itself.

Can I reopen this? This appears to happen now with files that have a digital signature or are otherwise protected.

patchmonkey This sounds like a separate issue, but with similar symptoms. I would open another issue
