When creating a custom assistant, there are many models available to be chosen. I don't really understand their tradeoffs, and I also don't fully understand the benchmarks Kagi publishes.
I know there's no one best model, but there are some rules of thumb. For instance, for most people, most of the time, the OpenAI "mini" models are superior to the OpenAI "nano" models, with negligible difference in speed. I learned that after doing some research, but most people don't do that research.
For that reason, I'd like to request that Kagi please suggest a default model, one which is a very good choice for most people and most purposes most of the time. Others models can still be available if someone wants to choose a specific one.
This will help users more easily create custom Kagi assistants.
