If I search Kagi with "what is the effectiveness of spaced repetition on language learning?", the Quick Answer will give me some info followed by a few references. If I click on "Continue in Assistant", the Assistant page will open, it says Kagi is searching, and then return some information. However, this time there are no references at the bottom.
Even though I included in Settings/Assistant/Custom Instructions the text: "All responses must include citations.", it still ignores that. The thing is: it doesn't fail all the time. There are times when it just works.
If I edit the prompt on Assistant page and make clear to include citations, it does.
But why doesn't it offer citations in the first place when it was set to do it? If it shows in the Quick Answer, why doesn't it show when the Assistant is called?
Expected behavior:
Searches that start on the main page and continue in Assistant must include citations/references.
