I like that image search is SFW by default (I remember at least one case where DDG brought shame on me because if you disable safe search for results you disable it for images as well, if you like it or not) and I would keep it as default, but having a setting to enable a toggle to temporary (!) enable NSFW mode for images (only for the current searches, unlike the safe search toggle for normal web results, I wouldn't want the image setting to "stay" on NSFW).
I imagine an opt-in setting (would be ok in the sidebar even) to disable safe search for images, which would be overwritten to the SFW default if I leave https://kagi.com/images to go to e.g. https://kagi.com/search and then come back to https://kagi.com/images again
This way one has the benefit of not having to use other search engines for image searching NSFW topics, while preventing the disadvantage of publicly image searching while still having the NSFW setting on.
