This search query results has difficulty understanding opening hours of more than one location in a single name. I'm asking in French if Ithe BnF open on May 1st, not on other holidays.
BnF is the France National Library which has several buildings mostly in Paris but also a couple scattered around the country. The locations we're talking about here are François Mitterrand and Richelieu.
The BnF library (source: BnF itself, first reference by the quick answer) states that it is entirely closed on May 1st (which is Labour Day in France). BnF adds that it has some parts of it open on other holiday days, but May 1st is definitely closed everywhere.
Summary of the BnF page (cf screenshot)
- Closed on May 1st
- May 8th
- May 29
- June 8th and 9th
4: except the museum and the exhibition at the other sites
2 and 3: idem
It's not explicitly specified, but BnF on all locations is entirely closed on May 1st (library, exhibitions, museums, café, etc). It's subtly specified by the lack of an asterisk on the first item of the list, which is my original query.
Kagi understood it as "May 1st, BnF is closed except for this and that" while omitting that this and that correspondant to other dates and which is the most crucial information.

What was expected...
Correct understanding of the closing times.
Understanding conditions, exceptions, the presence and the lack of an asterisk on a list item.
Prior to the list, if it says it is closed, it is entirely unconditionally closed everywhere for items without asterisk, which may have further exception specified before, after the list, or in footnotes.
