Kagi for Teams currently has some points of friction if you want to also use Kagi personally.
The points of friction are basically around 1) pricing and 2) portability of settings, etc.
If I have Kagi for Teams, my options are basically:
Use my team account for personal use. This has no cost to me, but applies team settings to my personal use, and puts all my config at risk if my team account is terminated.
Pay for an individual or family plan separately from my team plan. This works, and the cost isn't unreasonable, but it "feels" like I'm double-paying. In particular for the family plan, my family doesn't care much about what search engine they use, so it feels awkward to be paying for a family plan when I could just use my team plan and let them use Google.
A possible approach to this could be to grant complimentary individual/family plan if you have a Kagi team plan, like 1Password does: https://support.1password.com/link-family/
I'd even be happy here if I could get a pro-rated discount on a family plan - e.g. if I have a Kagi team subscription, grant me $7/m (half the cost of a Duo plan) off of a Duo or Family plan. This seems like it could be win-win, getting more users/subscriptions for Kagi of family members who wouldn't otherwise have plans.
