We would definitely love to avoid these snippets. As it stands, we have no way to know if the snippet is AI generated or not, our sources do not expose that to us, and identifying AI text (especially with with such small input, like snippets) is almost impossible - and at best would incur a nasty latency+cost hit to every search, and at worst would be very unrelaible.
We'll absolutely continue to see if there are easy wins or workarounds we can do here without sacrificing latency or quality - but I'm not expecting a miracle at the moment.
