I sometimes need to see whether a service is actually down or I'm just having internet issues. Typically I just Kagi is [service] down, which almost always returns DownDetector as the top result. Much like the Cloudflare-powered speedtest widget, adding a down detection widget would improve my (and other users') workflow and make for a more streamlined experience.
The widget should show the current status of the site, recent status of the site, and link to the full DownDetector page. I believe the DownDetector API should provide all this, but I'm not 100%, reading API docs isn't my strong suit 😅
