Desktop images look cropped

Sorry you're having issues with image results; this doesn't sound right, and I can't say I've experienced what you're describing. We also do implement showing the image dimensions on rollover;

Could you perhaps share a couple example searches with screenshots so we could get a better idea of what might be wrong?

For some reason I have two different image results page.

By default when I do a search for an image now the results come back cropped all the same size and the results not that many.
But, when I select the size to be extra large for example, I now get the normal search result page back where the images aren't cropped and more results.

How can I have it always show me the images uncropped and have the results similar to images.google?

I want the results page to be like it used to be, the image results uncropped and the results similar (or better) to images.google.com

at the moment the same search result by default shows more/better results in images.google

Here is another example, I'm searching for Olive tree branches and the results are showing cropped images.

Here is an example of Kagi results vs Google results for the phrase family guy. Other than the fact Kagi is cropping images to the point they're barely recognizable from the full image, the results page is also a lot smaller. Kagi's results are 8 pages long, Google's results are 25 pages long.

Here are two examples within Kagi for the search Obama. when searching for small images it's not cropping the results much, so a portrait photo is still portrait, a landscape photo is still landscape. When I change to extra large for example it crops every photo to the same ratio and the original image is no longer recognized.

The same Obama search in google images, the portrait photos are displayed portrait, the landscape ones landscape and none are as heavily cropped into as in Kagi.

So sometimes, even if it's not related to Russian or Chinese sites, unrelated images can appear at the top. I think there is a localization-related bug.

batuhan I don't think thats related to the cropping of the images in the search results though

Apparently, this "cropping" issue doesn't exist on mobile but it does on desktop.
