I would love to have some form of "temporary" or "ephemeral" mode for assistant threads. I am sometimes inputting a bunch of unrelated one-off queries into Assistant, and I don't want to keep the thread. I also would like to have a quick way to clear the chat history for the next query. I keep my threads on forever mode, so creating a new thread, querying, then deleting the thread to start a new one gets annoying. I don't think 24-hour mode with the preserve button fits my workflow, as I want to keep most threads, and having these one-off threads clogging my history for 24 hours would be annoying.
I am not quite sure the best way to implement this, whether it is a toggle in the UI header or a separate tab in the sidebar. I would lean tab in the sidebar given mobile UI already being pretty full.
