Summary of the suggestion:
I see lenses somewhat like a very advanced and taylored filtering tool. I wish to expand on this by allowing lenses to be filtered by the source of the aggregated results (not the domain they are on, but rather what search engine or method was used to acquire the resource).
Why might this be useful?
- Transparency - this opens up a new door to potential transparency and auditing of search results and their sources. It would allow users to see for themselves what sort of results come from where.
- Further bias prevention - though Kagi already does a fairly good job of this, as far as I'm aware there's no way to tackle biased search aggregators only indexing certain resources. Allowing people to exclude these services could allow for much better results in some areas.
This suggestion is still in its infancy to be honest, any further ideas or comments on this are appreciated, thanks.
