I have created a custom assistant for creating social media alt texts for pictures that I upload. The pre prompt is a very detailed detailed description of what I expect, which rules to follow, and which language to use. It works very well with 4o. Now I wanted to try how Pixtral performs but found out it ignores the pre prompt completely. At some times, it even asks me for a description of the image because it couldn't find one in the file name.. Seems it received neither the file nor the pre prompt. Or it's much poorer than I thought.
I’d expect it to follow the instructions given in the setup.
