Sharing files with Kagi Search app
Kagi assistant supports files such as images and PDFs, including in the mobile app. However, you cannot currently share these with the app from elsewhere in Android, Kagi only shows up as an option when sharing text.
Use cases:
- I see a mathematical equation while reading and want to ask about it by taking a screenshot.
- I am emailed a report in PDF and want assistant to summarize it for me.
Avoid auto submitting query when sharing to Kagi Search and selecting the "Discuss" option
Currently, shared content gets immediately submitted as a query to the LLM. Without sufficient context, the LLM is unlikely to provide a desired answer. When sharing via the "Discuss" option, add the text or document to the input, but allow the user to manually edit the query before submission.
Use cases:
- I share an email draft with the assistant and add that it should be rewritten to make me sound less angry.
- I share an image of a flower and want to ask how often I should water it.
