Autosuggest is not working

According to your documentation, the https://kagi.com/autosuggest?q=%s (vs /search) link should offer search suggestions, but I'm getting nothing.

I'm using Microsoft Edge on macOS 15.3.2 and Windows 11 24H2 with manual Kagi setup (no extension).
I expected search suggestions dropdown like google.

For example, if I start typing korean deep fried I expect korean deep friend chicken recipe as a search suggestion.

Hey! Let's try the following:

Remove all things Kagi from your Edge search configuration
Relaunch Edge
Go to https://kagi.com and sign in
Perform a couple of searches
Go to edge://settings/searchEngines
At this point Edge should have automatically added an entry for Kagi
Click the three dots and select Make Default
Suggestions should now work!

I will add this to our documentation as you aren't the first person to have asked about this in the past couple of days.

laiz OK that worked, which is weird as it's exactly what I had before (https://kagi.com/search?q=%s&token=xxx)

z64 the results with and without /api are the same, I get a raw JSON reply when I press Enter, not an autosuggest dropdown.

That is curious indeed. In any case, I am happy to hear everything works as expected now.
I'll add that method to the documentation as this isn't the first time they have solved the autosuggestion issue for someone.
