@Xytronix I'm not sure it is technically possible for Kagi to block piracy results.

Piracy is against the law in multiple countries, yet Google, just doesn't seem to be able to do it.

Xytronix That claim is very hard to believe. What evidence do you have that users have been "scared away"? "They don't want to be suspected to have anything to do with piracy by their friends and family"? Where did you get this notion? Do your friends and family monitor your searches?

In my experience Kagi shows significantly more piracy results than Google.
I am asking for a simple way to turn that off.

Xytronix This sounds like a problem that you are inventing for yourself, to be honest.

People are not going to "stare at you" for the results served to you on a web search. I suppose that if somebody were hovering over your shoulder and paying very close attention to what you were doing they might take notice if your results involve some explicit, hardcore, pornographic material, but otherwise, I just don't buy it. Piracy is not seen as some really shocking, taboo phenomenon anymore, especially in many countries outside of the US and Europe. But even if it were, again, are you regularly in a position where people are hovering over you while you search things?
If results involving piracy affect your mood, for some reason, you can use Kagi's existing tools to block the domains that you find to be objectionable. The inclusion of these results will not "influence you over using legal sources," since you've already decided never to use them.
How are you drawing this connection between piracy and competence and professionalism? What do those things have to do with each other?
Can you share some examples of searches you've performed which return a larger than expected proportion of piracy-related results? If you get so many so frequently that blocking them individually is not feasible, I would definitely understand that being an irritation.
Regarding your response to batuhan: "I will pay you for your product as long as it fulfills my needs" is not blackmail, it's being a discerning consumer.

Xytronix What were you doing while using Google? Isn't there piracy on Google? Google became this popular thanks to piracy. Just so you know, Kagi doesn't index "piracy" itself; these are the results from search engines like Google and Bing. If they are removed from Google and Bing, they will also be removed from Kagi. If you don't want to see piracy, you can easily remove it; Kagi gives you this power. Also, what does blackmail have to do with it? This is my own clear opinion. So, I own the book Atomic Habits, but I need to search for a part of it in the book. Is it a crime to download the PDF?

@Xytronix There is a function in the NextDNS internet filtering software, where you can block piracy domains. Maybe this could be a solution for you?
