I may be running into a philosophy roadblock here. Kagi's FAQ says specifically that you don't track users' "location, identity, and search history," and I'm big on privacy — I don't want you tracking my identity or search history. But I DO want Kagi to know where I am.
Could users opt-in to sharing our locations?
Kagi doesn't know I'm in Seattle, so when I search for Beacon Cinema (a local theater) I get a theater in Phoenix. When I search for 'weather' I get the forecast for Chicago (why Chicago?). When I search for Amtrak station, I get the entire list of all stations in America. Etc.
Google, of course, knows where I am, and assumes (correctly) that I'm looking for info pertinent to my area, Seattle. In this one way, Kagi lags behind.
I'd like to not have to type 'Seattle' as part of every search for anything in Seattle.
I'm fine with sharing my location, willing to opt-in. I'm obscured through a VPN anyway.
