I appreciate the detailed response, as well as the transparency on the pricing at https://kagi.com/pricing and here as well for the plans. I do still worry that this will cost too much for most people, as even I am still quite hesitant to purchase accounts for my family members. For instance, even though I know it's not exactly a fair comparison, my Netflix plan costs less than $16/mo, and all my family members can use it to watch 1080p videos. This is even after a price increase that likely caused a large amount of subscribers to drop. Same deal for Spotify---less than $16/mo for the whole family.
My personal guess is, with these rates, many families that do actually want to use Kagi will end up sharing an account.
I very much hope that you all can find a way to bring the prices down a bit, as Kagi is the best search engine I've found in a long time!
