Can I just say, the Kagi "feedback" stuff really sucks. So, as I said before, I pay for Kagi, and...
It's not the same account as Orion. Have to create a new one. But...
At least using my AppleID, I can't. At least NOT IN ORION. Seriously, I get in an infinite loop of... "We couldn't verify if you're a robot or not. Please refresh the page and try again."
which is insanely stupid. How is the Kagi Feedback forum not compatible with the defaults in Orion?
Even turning off "Content Blockers" for the site wasn't enough; had to set the site to "Compatibility Mode."
Do you realize how bad this looks? Your own browser isn't compatible with your own feedback site for your own search engine for paying members?
And the only reason I was finally trying to sign up was the frustrating realization that not only does Kagi not support true time-based searches such as "Past four years", which in Google is simple &tbs=qdr:4, but I also don't seem to be able to create a lense for a period - even the pre-built 2020s lense, for launching from Orion.
In other words, in Orion, you create quick search short-cuts. In my case, g4 is "search using Google, limited to the last four years", which is "https://www.google.com/search?q=%s&tbs=qdr:y4"
I have Kagi equivalents for single units, because Kagi doesn't support multiples. e.g. "Kagi Year", shortcut "ky", is "https://kagi.com/search?q=%s&token=<mytoken>&dr=4"
And, of course, Kagi as my default, but using the lense shortcut isn't so convenient as this approach.
Meanwhile, I can get a lense URI, but it's for editing, not searching.
How do I create a lense and then call it from an Orion QuickSearch link?
The user could create an Orion quicksearch link for a lense.
Which is impossible currently.
